Privacy requests
Do it yourself first. Most privacy actions are buttons inside
the W‑Cut app. They work straight away. Email is only for the rest.
What you can do in the app
- Delete one generated look — in History. It goes straight away.
- Delete all your face scans and photos — in Settings. Your account and your purchased credits stay.
- Delete your whole account — in Settings.
- Turn analytics off — a toggle in Settings. It applies straight away.
- Withdraw your agreement to face analysis — delete your face scans and photos in Settings. That withdraws it.
What we cannot do
We say this plainly so you do not wait for something that is not coming.
- No data export. There is no tool to download a copy of your data.
- No correction of scan results. If a result is wrong, scan again. The new scan replaces the old one.
- Access requests are manual. A person reads your email and answers it. There is no automatic system.
Two things you should know
- Deleting your W‑Cut account does not delete the profiles held by our analytics provider and our subscription provider. Those records sit with them, not with us.
- Photographs are deleted automatically after 30 days. This happens whether you ask or not.
How to send a request
Email support@wcut.app. Put your account ID in the message.
Find your account ID in the app, under Settings. W‑Cut accounts are anonymous. We hold no email, no name, no username. The account ID is the only thing that links a request to an account. Without it we may not be able to act on your request.
We reply within 30 days.
Your rights
Where you live decides which rights you have. In plain words:
In the EU, the EEA, and the UK
- Ask what data we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Ask us to stop or limit how we use it.
- Take back your agreement to face analysis at any time.
- Ask for a copy to take elsewhere. We have no export tool, so we cannot do this today.
- Complain to your national data protection authority.
In US states with a privacy law
- Ask what data we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Ask us to correct it. We cannot correct scan results — scan again instead.
- Tell us not to sell or share your data for ads. We do not sell personal information.
- Use these rights without being treated worse for it.
You do not need to name a law. Just say what you want.
